Disgusting service

I was totally disgusted and disappointed at the treatment received at the Emergency room at Melomed Bellville. On Thursday 21 March 2024 I had to take my son to the ER as he had a bad fall during a soccer game. The ER was not too busy as there was just one patient waiting to be helped and then it would be our turn. So the wait was not long. When it was our turn to be triaged the nurse taking the vitals was friendly and energetic and trying to take my sons mind of the pain that he was in. We were told we needed to go for x-rays and that is when the long wait started. Both the nurses which assisted us in the triage room just went out saying the will be back now and never returned. It was not till I stopped a random nurse in the passage to ask if they have forgotten about us as we needed to go for x-rays and my son is in pain. Then only the doctor prescribed some painkillers. Eventually almost after a hour and a half we finally had the x-rays done. We were sent back to ER where Dr Langa who was on duty was meant to share the findings with us. But much to my surprise she was on her way home and only said the results from the x-rays had not come back yet I need to call her the next day....I had never been this upset as we spent almost 2 hours at the hospital already only to have x-rays taken and receive results the next day. That was when the other doctor that was working in the ER checked the results (5 min later)....turned out my son had broken his arm in two places and it needed to be strapped.....Dr Langa at Melomed Bellville would have let me go home with a child that had a broken arm all because she could not wait 5 min for the results. Disgusting behavior for a medical professional meant to help people in their time of need.
