Bills that had hospital errors from Melomed Gatesville

Hello dear. I have a serious concern with Melomed gatesville here in Cape Town, I had a c/s on the 3August 2020 in Melomed Bellville, the following day my baby had some complications and had to be transferred to Melomed Gatesville..I was on discovery medical aid..My baby was in and out of the hospital for some time, registered my baby with home affairs on the 1st of September 2020 as newborns have only a month to be registered with home affairs so as to be added on their parents medical aid…I was so shocked 2020 when I had a call from pathcare saying I have a bill I need to pay from Gatesville, reason being the medical aid didn’t pay. I called the medical aid and they informed me that they have conducted Research studies investigations of which are not covered by the scheme and told the doctors have long time been informed about this and still do..The bill was around R14000, and was already sent to lawyers. Last year September 2021 got a msg on my phone that I owe them R31600 that discovery has reversed because the baby was not registered 2020 August when admitted there..Called them and asked to speak to their medica aid manager, Zahra Hendricks, she told me that she will email discovery and sort it out because she can also see on her system that the bill was paid August 2020, then only reversed September 2021, reason being baby was not registered. But promised to call me back but it will take long time for the medical aid to sort it. Now February got a surprise msg from their lawyers again telling me I need to make arrangements as I’m owing R32600. I called the lawyers and told them what has happened, I called discovery and also asked about this issue, they told me that the baby was registered on the medical aid as of 01 September 2020, instead of the date of birth as all babies do because they are covered from birth even if they are not yet registered with home affairs , and the hospital are the ones who do the babies registration with their medical schemes… I did go register my baby by home affairs on the 1 September 2020 and brought the birth certificate to Melomed Gatesville as my paediatrician asked me to so as the medical aid pay the bills..I informed them about what discovery has told me, because they need to change and write the correct information..What they are doing now they sending me emails and msg to arrange payment or else they blacklist me with all credit bureaus in the country… This is the hospital problem and error and they now making it my problem, they just want me to pay for their own fault. I’m very angry with this situation I feel like they just sucking money from the clients a rong way.. I’m very angry and disappointed with their service. Pls help.
