VAT overcharging

Ordered from AliExpress, the duties and VAT levied by Meili Logistics were more than the value of the items purchased. After reluctantly providing the Customs Clearance Invoice, I have discovered they charged VAT at 1600%. So far, there has been no response to my request for a refund for the overcharged VAT.
