Poorly treated client.

I joined MegRyan Financial Services as a recommendation from my sister at the beginning of 2018 as I needed someone to take over my tax. I met briefly with a lady by the name of Mandy who gave a short breakdown of what costs to expect and what documents I would need to supply for them to proceed i.e receipts, statements etc. I am a sole proprietor with a small business but unfortunately am absolutely clueless when it comes to tax, in saying so I put my faith in MegRyan Financial Service.

In the interest of keeping this as short as possible, the below events unfolded. I received little or no communication and was left in the dark regarding my account. I called and emailed on a regular basis with little or no return. I had the contact of a lady by the name of Greta and when I did receive news, I was assured all my accounts were up to date (also confirmed via email) and there was nothing to worry about. I verbally requested my invoice from them and also sent receipts to be added to my account which were unfortunately also added to the wrong company (these are yet to be returned to me). This back and forth goes on for well over a year, almost two, and eventually I see my tax account is in arrears of 2 years. Nothing has been submitted to SARS and I owe penalties for late taxes. I ask for answers from Greta but am told only Mandy is able to approve anything. After a long road of achieving nothing I changed service providers and am slowly catching up on everything outstanding. I am beyond disappointed and I am writing this review in the hopes that no other person or small business has to endure this experience.
