Disappointed with Megashift Logistics

I am extremely disappointed with the service and after-sales handling I received from Megashift Logistics.

During a household move, my television arrived at the destination damaged. I reported the matter immediately and provided photographic evidence. Megashift denied liability on the basis that I allegedly declined inspection and testing of the television prior to collection. This assertion is incorrect.

At no point was I asked to test or inspect the television. The team leader only assessed the external wrapping and advised that additional cardboard would be added for further protection, which was done by their team. Notably, this added cardboard arrived damaged, which suggests that the item was not adequately protected or was mishandled during transit. The television was handled, loaded, and positioned in the truck by Megashift’s staff, and I had no visibility or control over how it was ultimately secured.

Subsequently, Megashift alleged that I signed documentation declining inspection. I was asked to sign solely to confirm that certain items were self-packed, not to waive inspection or absolve the company of liability. This was not explained to me at the time, and had it been, I would have insisted on inspection and testing of the television.

In addition, communication from Megashift was inconsistent, and I received conflicting explanations regarding insurance coverage, despite having paid for insurance as part of the service. It is also important to note that I have comprehensive household insurance and could have claimed for the television had it been damaged prior to Megashift’s handling and delivery. The damage occurred during the move, while the item was under Megashift’s care.

Rather than addressing these concerns objectively, Megashift re**** on disputed documentation and rigid internal positions to deny responsibility.

This experience reflects poor after-sales service and a lack of accountability when damage occurs. I would caution prospective customers, particularly those transporting fragile or high-value items, to seek clear written confirmation regarding inspection, packing, and liability before engaging their services.
