A Moving company you should NOT TRUST!

DO NOT USE THEM!

I’ve used MegaShift Logistics before, but my recent move on 7 November 2025 was so poorly handled that I need to warn others.

I paid R12,600 for a 16-ton closed-body truck and five crew members. What arrived was an 8-ton truck, a trailer, and four crew members with no call, no message, no explanation until after the fact. This forced multiple trips, dragged the move late into the night, and created avoidable chaos for my family.

Because of the smaller truck and the rain, several items were damaged: • Fridge – dented and scratched • Microwave – dented and scratched • Piano – dented and scratched • Tiles – cracked after being loaded into the trailer When I raised this, I received no apology, no ownership, and only deflection. The Operations Manager promised to call me back and never did.

They then pointed to Clause 13(C) of their contract, which excludes dents, scratches, and chips ; meaning even if they damage your items, you carry the cost unless you buy extra insurance. Their “R500 per cubic metre” liability barely covers anything of real value.

In short: You may not get the truck you paid for. Your belongings may be damaged. You may struggle to get accountability. And the fine print heavily favours them, not the customer.

I’m sharing this so others don’t get caught off guard. Do not use them as your preferred service provider!
