WHY DO WE HAVE A MEDICAL AID!!!

Yes why do we have a medical aid if they don't pay anything? I was in Medi clinic Welkom the beginning of July and they say I must use them so my medical aid can pay for everything, well they don't pay for everything although hospitalisation is UNLIMITED????? My real complaint is about meds that my wife must take Serdep 50 that was approved by my medical aid until end of December and I also received a letter to tell me that they have approved it and it will be paid in full as long as the claims for the Serdep 50 is done by Optipharm where we also get our chronic meds from. Well for the last 4 months it was done by Optipharm but still all the claims for Serdep 50 was rejected by Medshield, WHY WHY WHY??? I have query this now 4 times via email that Medshield must rectify the claims and pay Optipharm but no response or any action from Medshield, nothing at all. Optipharm now don't want to send our meds anymore cause the amount of R98.59 x 4 is R394.36 is outstanding with them???? This is totally unacceptable, why does Medshield not do their work as they should, why do we always have to complain??? Please Medshield rectify this immediately. W A & A Cloete Medshield ***
