WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT
I RECEIVED AS EMAIL FOR APPLIANCE AUTHORIZATION HOWEVER WHEN WE WENT TO COLLECT AT THE APPROVED PHARMACY THE CLAIM WAS REJECTING MEDHIELD IS A PAIN IN THE NECK EVERY YEAR THE SAME ****

Medshield Medical Scheme has acknowledged your complaint and would like to thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
With reference to the approval for the nebulizer and blood pressure monitor.
Kindly be advised, as per scheme records the above-mentioned request was received and approved in February 2018.
With the quote date being January 2018 – the necessary overrides was actioned for 3 months (01 January – 01 April), hence the rejection as you went to collect the appliances after the approved date.
Please note, we have extended this approval date 09/04/2018 – 16/04/2018.
Kindly be advised, should the appliances not be collected within these days, they will reject. Please notify the Scheme, then the dates can be adjusted.
