Very very poor medical aid

I was with Discovery for many years and my 20 year old disabled son was born on Discovery, but unfortunately in the beginning of this year I made the biggest mistake to go over to Medshield medical aid. I predeclaired my son's condition and specifically asked regarding the waiting period for his Epilepsy and was ensured that there is no waiting period. I rushed my son to ZAH with uncontrolled seizures on 4 May 2024 and he was immediately admitted because of the severity. Medshield is closed for authorizations over weekends and the hospital app**** for the authorization on the Monday. The authorization was declined because of not enough clinical information. I had to phone multiple times a week to follow up between the medical aid and the doctor as the medical aid didn't do ANYTHING from their side to assist in making this easier or the authorization possible. It has been almost 3 months and still not approved, because everything they require additional documents and I am getting the idea that they just looking for excuses not to approve.
