THE WORST SERVICE AND MEDICAL AID FROM Medshield Medical Scheme

I cannot even begin to tell you how poorly I have been treated as a customer having just signed on to your services. Your consultant's errors on my application date have now left my family without cover. Purely on the basis that our application form was not submitted until the 1st of October when everything was sent well before this date. Our application form stated the start date of the 1st of October. And then we received our membership certificate stating our medical aid only started on the 1st of November and covered nothing including emergencies until the 1st of February. None of our benefits app**** to our cover for 3 months due to my two-year-old being ill several months ago which is not a condition that needs to be treated in the future as it was an emergency. None of this information was advised when the application was being processed. And all I was told is that our gap cover would not apply for 6 months which was understandable. Your company has missold a product to our family without even advising when we sent the application forms that we would not be covered entirely. I cannot even believe that your advisors and management are not able to assist with working around the underwriting when this was not advised to us before our application and that you cannot see the error from the employees around the inconvenience this has caused myself and our family. I have had to waste my time trying to rectify your errors, to begin with, and still, you cannot even cover our family as you stated in our application process.

So disappointed in your company and services, I am sure so many millions of people that sign up with you have faced the same issues. I will make it my mission to advise as many people as I can about how bad your medical aid is and how poorly you treat customers when this is your error and incompetence to start with. If anyone does read this, do not proceed with your medical aid cover with medshield. They have **** to a consumer about a product they are selling and are not willing to work around anything except filling their pocket with your money.
