POPI ACT

My mom passed away on the 15/01/02023, I am only trying to get a final statement !!! The lady that helped me said she can not help me, because I am not authorized to get it, due to the POPI Act. I do understand the need of the Act, but sometimes it is ridiculous!! I need a statement for lawyers. So if somebody phone me for money I can tell them that I can not pay them because it is against the POPI act? And how did they allow the payment every month, it was from my bank account!???? The lady just said "sorry I can not help you"!!!
