Poor customer service

Changing the date for a debit order should not be this difficult. I gave my details in early enough for the debit order to be changed. Medshied then tells me last minute that they will debit order on the previously scheduled date.

What is most inconveniencing is the fact that customer service is so un-accommodating.

What does it take to find a good medical aid with good customer service?

Good day,

Kindly be advised that we have been liaising with our credit control department with regard your enquiry and we can advise as follow:

Medshield received a request to change the debit order date to the 15th of each month on the 24th January, as per enquiry number 210119Q6KKV7. An email response was sent to the member advising of three (3) months bank statement required as per Scheme Rules, in order to review the member’s request which would serve as proof that no funds are available on the 1st of each month.
The caller was advised of outstanding documents on query 220119Q6PFXL and 220119Q6PSHF, respectively.
Please note that we submitted our debit order files to the banks on the 25th January 2019 and had still not received the requested documentation, hence the debit order was deducted on the 1st February 2019.

Yours sincerely, Medshield

Best regards,

SM

I have in all documentation required: a three months banking statement and motivational letter. What your customer service failed to clearly indicate was that if these statements did not show that I do not get paid at the end of the month, the debit order could not be changed. How do I prove that I will not get paid at the end of the month, when it is the first time that I will not get paid at the end of the month and do not have a contract to prove this as I am self-employed?

Please check your system, on the 23rd of January I submitted three bank statements and listed the password for these. I also wrote and attached a letter explaining my work circumstances.
