Please save yourself and stay away from MEDSHIELD

Worse than pathetic. As I speak I am in Cronin pain to the extent that I am not at work, I am on heavy medication, I was supposed to go for a procedure on Monday 26 May 2025. But they declined. Their reason's don't even make sense. I'm told my plan doesn't cover, yet I have a 1 million cover for non PMB conditions. Furthermore I'm told that they think that my condition is not life threatening. Exactly what qualifies as life threatening? I am in Cronin pain, not at work because of this pain. Should I first loose my job and not be able to feed my kids, before they qualify something as life threatening? On top of that I'm a single mother of two girls, who are solely dependent on me. To make matters worse, I went on as far as asking them which plan includes arthroscopy surgery, they tell me that non of their plans include such a procedure. Like what the hell!!!!!

I'm stuck and desperately in pain. The specialist that called them for authorisation told me that they have done many procedures like this and MEDSHIELD does pay.

I'm so hurt and sad to see that MEDSHIELD doesn't care at about their clients, yet they take monthly payments every month. It's like a money making scheme that tries to find all reasons not to give their clients what they are paying for.... I'm so sad, in tears and in pain.
