My wife is with Medhsield, and was hospitalized on 11/10/2022... She was treated in hospital, and they refuse to pay for blood tests requested by dr... I gave this sup with them last year already.

Their reply: Dear valued member,

Thank you for your enquiry, the claim for Dr Vermaak & Partners with practice number ***, treatment date 11/10/2022 was paid on the 19/10/2022 an amount of R 1,029.90. Chargeable code 3958 is rejected as ¿Motivation letter required from the treating in order for your claim to be reviewed for reprocessing.¿.

IN OTHER WORDS, YOU AS THE PATIENT WHILST IN HOSPITAL, NEED TO GO AND GET A MOTIVATIONAL LETTER WHILST IN HOSPITAL.

If this is not paid by end of this week 20/01/2023, I will take all the correspondences with them to the Medical Aid Board....

Watch out for Medshield ! They will make their work yours, whilst you are in hospital getting treatment !
