NOTHING IS URGENT WITH MEDSHIELD

My specialist has advised i hve a procudure done in hospital so i contacted medshield for authorisation which was given to me with a 25% co payment for not using a DSP HOPSITAL the problem with this is there is not DSP for HOPSPITAL where i live. i have no idea why i should have to pay a cop payment for not using a dsp hospital when medshield does not have one in my area i can use. I have requested clarity on this 4 days ago and all the call centre says it takes 5 days for a response. How pathetic i require urgent clarity on this matter now i have to wait 5 days and if im not happy and have further question i need to email them again and wait 5 days my admission is the 18 Oct *** i mean seriously

i have still received no response regarding this

How does it make any sense that i should pay a co payment for not using a dsp hospital if there isnt one where i live can somebody please explain this to me.

I need to go into hospital on thw 18th but by the looks of it medshield will contuinue to drag their feet on this so that even thou i dont have the choice of a dsp hospital i will need to pay 25% of my hospital bill

Good day

With reference to the co-payment that was app**** to your hospital admission for the 18/10/2016 – 19/10/2016.

We can confirm that this co-payment on the hospital admission has been removed after clinical information was provided by the treating doctor.

Our hospital department has confirmed they have been in contact with yourself advising of the above.

We trust you find the above in order.

Yours sincerely,

Medshield
