Non-Claim payment

I was hospitalised in from 1st November 2019 at Eugene Marais Hospital, obviously and authorisation number was given by the Medical aid. To my amazement long after I was discharged, I receive a bill from Lancet Laboratory stating that I owe them R5478.40. I have exhausted all the avenues to try and get an explanation from Medshield as to why did they not pay the Lab. Until today I have no answer. Maybe you can help me find the answer to this matter because Lancet is breathing down my neck as we speak. they need to be paid. The consultant since send me an e-mail stating that the matter has been escalated on the 9th March 2020 after wards my e-mails regarding the follow up on the matter was flatly ignored.

Your help in this regard will be much appreciated.
