Medshield poor medical aid

I am currently using Medshield Medical Aid, and I deeply regret the day I joined. One of the most frustrating issues is that when you add a dependent during the course of the year, they do not prorate or allocate benefits accordingly yet you are expected to pay the full premium.

What kind of nonsense is that? If you’re paying the full amount, the dependent should receive full or at least prorated benefits. Even when trying to apply for benefits, they often don’t cover anything meaningful.

In my experience, this is one of the poorest medical aids I've come across. It feels like the priority is enriching themselves rather than supporting their members. The service is terrible, and the value for money is extremely poor.

My advice: Stay away from Medshield Medical Aid. The service is bad, the policies are unfair, and members don’t get what they pay for. So we pay medshield medical aid and now i have to pay from my pocket that is really nonsense. What's the purpose of being in a medical aid ans also add our beloved once?
