Medshield not honoring authorized hospital bill payments.

Medshield gave authorization for in hospital ops and did not pay the claimed amounts by the Dr's. For example, for UPPER G. I. ENDOSCOPY WITH HOSPITAL EQUIP, COLONOSCOPY WITH HOSPITAL EQUIP PP* c and REMOVAL OF POLYP PER POLYP PP* there was a shortfall of R3752 that I had to pay as DR's rooms plagued me with demands and credit listing. Medshield did not disclose that they give hospital Auth's but do not fulfill their responsibility to pay the bills for in hospital care. Medshield is also very quick to deduct any claim from savings and use the excuse that it is out of hospital treatment. I was referred to a Cardiologist by my GP and they refused to pay the cardiologist and I had to foot the bill. If you want medical aid, I suggest you stay away from Medshield!!
