MEDSHIELD NIGHTMARE
We were members from Medshield since 2016. It was one of the best medical aids but I dont know what happend in the last 4 months as it is a nightmare now. We changed plans and also put my son on his own plan as he is not a student any longer. In December I made payments but due to a human error I used the wrong reference number- I used our old plan number. Since then we are struggling to get the allocation right- please note that it was the second time that I made this mistake and before it was sorted in no time. They cancelled my son`s membership from 28/12/2024 after taking the contribution for January 2025 for December- We paid in the premium for February and now we struggling to get the refund in order to pay his new medical aid. They allocated the extra R1800 I paid in December to our membership. They confirmed the outstanding amount for March - which is R1800 less on email and they cancelled our membership from 28/2/2025 - now they cannot find the POP and advised me that there are no refund due to me.
When we arranged my son`s medical aid - we did send them the concent form but now suddenly after a year that I help him with his medical aid- they cannot talk to me as they do not have the concent form. He send his papers in 3 weeks ago. Now they only received it last week. I don`t understand what is going on .....

03 Apr 2025, 12:53AFTER 5 GOING ON 6 WEEKS OUR PROBLEMS ARE STILL NOT SOLVED. MY SON STILL DID NOT GET HIS REFUND AFTER NUMERIOS CALLS AND EMAILS. WE DID SEND THE REQUESTED FORMS ABOUT 4 TIMES AND HE IS STILL WAITING FOR THE REFUND THAT WAS PROMISED FOR THIS WEEK.
