Medshield lack of payments

I was admitted to hospital as an emergency with pneumonia on the 19th of November. As far as I know according to my mediplus benefits in hospital is fully paid. I had to have a covid test to be allowed in and Medshield is refusing to pay for it ! saying that if I was positive they would pay for it. I find this completely illogical and unfair. They are also refusing to pay for some of my physio and consultant doctors fees . They were all part of my in hospital treatment and I never requested any private doctors. They state in hospital is unlimited and then come up with limits everywhere. Prices are put up every year but benefits are ridiculous. The trouble is you can never speak to anyone in charge and the consultants have no authority to do anything, Everything is done electronically so if you don't query the outcomes nothing will be put right. Medshield I'm sorry to say is severely lacking in many things. Unfortunately I cannot change at this stage as Discovery has the audacity to charge a late joining fee pushing your monthly payment up for no rewards. I will fight all these non payments and will resort to the medical insurance ombudsman if necessary.
