Medshield has finally forced me to put a gun to my head

It has finally happened!!

After almost 3 months of asking Medshield to fix a problem with my PMBs my the****** had to terminate my treatment due to unpaid fees.

I have been in treatment since 2018 and my last visit to my psychiatrist resulted in a change of medication because of sufficient reason to believe that my condition has, yet again, taken a turn for the worse!

I, furthermore, am unemployed since April 2020 and can, thus, not settle the account myself and am reliant on the limited PMB cover which Medshield is legally required to offer.

I have, after 3 months of almost daily follow-ups on what is happening, just received a 3rd rejection of payment for my past couple of sessions and this DESPITE having received written confirmation that my PMBs have been approved.

I feel helpless, disgusted and absolutely demoralised that my financial situation forces me to stay with the most *********, unprofessional and disgusting medical aid of all times.

What is worse, the reviews of Medshield are so horrible and yet, they don't seem to do anything about it!!! They can't even get it right to change banking details in time for the next DO and then suspend my account unfairly so, despite having arranged an EFT payment from my new bank account.
