I was a member of Medshield Medical Aid, I lost my Job in October and could not make contributions. My wife bought pills worth R400.00 in a period of two months. I got a communication that said I owe R11500 for claims, I disputed this and said we don’t have claims amounting to that, instead of properly writing proper communication to me and say I was liable for contributions Medshield went on and listed me on credit bureau.
When a member does not pay a contribution within one month membership gets suspended. This was not done the only thing was to list me.
