medshield - classifies glases and contact lenses as the same

Not only do we have an issue now with Medshield not authorizing a critical procedure, but we also have an issue with them classifying glasses and contact lenses as the same. On their optical benefits, they have that glasses can be changed every 2 years. they see contact lenses as the same. We submitted a motivation to them from the Optomotrist as well as from the Pretoria Eye instutue and they just refuse to accept it. We also cant claim from the day-to-day benefit when the contact lenses are paid cash as they say the plan has an optical benefit and it clashes with each other so again you pay through your teeth for a medical aid that is not working for you
