Medical Claims Rejected
Was hospitalised on the 28th of October 2017 at St Augustine's Hospital and had a baby the next day and baby was admitted in NICU. Medshield Scheme has been giving me fault hope and promising to pay. Doctors, Blood Labs, hospital has been sending me bills and asking me to pay. I'm really sad and disappointed with this scheme, this is so painful, I've never missed a payment and this is what I get.
Good day,

With reference to your Hello Peter Complaint received on the 21/12/2017.
Upon investigation we can advise as follows
We apologise for the delay in responding to your complaint as were liaising with our hospital benefit management, Medical Services Organisation (MSO) and St Augustine hospital .
The admission for the 28/10/2017 at St Augustin hospital for your self was authorised late hence some of the account were not paid as no benefits and other were short paid due to co-payment for late authorisation obtained.
We have confirmed with the hospital and authorisation department that the admission was for an emergency hence the co-payment will be waived by the scheme. Kindly be advised that all account related to the admission will be reversed and reprocessed to be paid according to the scheme rules and benefits available.
