MATERNITY HOSPITAL ADMISSION DECLINED EVEN AFTER USING A NETWORK HOSPITAL

I am a member of Medshield Medical Aid and last year was the first time I actually put my maternity benefits to use. In October 2022 I app**** for authorisation for a natural/normal delivery , which was approved my the scheme but as we all know things do not always go as planned and a c-section was done only for me to receive my medical aid statement for the hospital and here I am sitting with a 35k account that needs to be paid because they declined the procedure. What is the point of having a medical aid and paying monthly if you cannot honor a hospital admission?
