Life Threatening operation declined

My Fiance Joined a Medshield's Medical Scheme November/December 2014. She once again had work and received a big enough salary to get a Medical Aid. In January 2015 she was referred to a specialist who picked up that she has a very big Hiatus Hernia. And went through all the Necessary steps and after another month it turned out she will need surgery as this is a very dangerous thing for someone of her weight and age class.<br> <br> Apon requesting authorization for the surgery the medical aid wanted to conduct an investigation to ensure that this is not something she knew about before hand (which is all good and they where more than welcome to) they requested all sorts of reports from my fiance's dockters dating back a few months. In one of those reports my Fiance received some medication for a little stomach pain she had back in June 2014. AND because of this stomach pain Medshield declined a operation that is desperately needed as the Hernia could be life Threatening.<br> <br> If Medshield can please explain to me HOW some stomach pain 6 months aggo could have possible told my fiance back then that she had a Hernia. AND PLEASE explain to me how she failed to comply to your policies
