Incompetence at its best

My mum left Fed health to join Medshield with an inception date of 01 August 2021. Was hospitalized whilst with fed health which ran into Medshield inception date. Now they are giving us the complete run around with regards to authorisation for her hospital stay and various tests. Just been told by the clinic that we are now liable for the bills today even though there was absolutely no waiting period with medshield. I would advise everyone to do a thorough research prior to joining this medical scheme as it seems that decisions cannot be made and as payers we are now bearing the brunt of this.. Causing additional strain and anxiety to all of us, including her. She has never been hospitalized in the last few years yet medshield is not treating this as urgent
