IGNORING MY REPETITIVE REQUEST TO CORRECT MY OPTION

Good afternoon Sir / Madam

I recently had to change the Medical Aid Scheme I belonged to, due to a Scheme change and contractual obligation by the company of which I am now an employee.

I was defaulted to the MediValue option and because it did not suit my needs I opted to be changed to the MediPlus option, retaining all the benefits as stipulated on my contract. I completed all the forms to switch option and handed this in to my HR department who did all the necessary with Medshield. On the same day a lady by the name of Paulina (I speak under correction) was also present, as she is the one that came to inform us more about Medshield. All this happenned late November 2016.

During January 2017 I receiving the wrong card (MediValue) and immediately made contact with Medshield. Someone from Medshield offices called my HR department and stated that they are aware of the fact that I received the wrong card and they know that I am on MediPlus but Medshield is rectifying the mistake. I shall receive the new card and booklet soon. To date I am still waiting but believed that my option was changed although I have the MediValue Card.

Today (13.03.2017) I have found out that I am still on MediValue and this has made me a VERY UNHAPPY client that is NOT receiving the service I envisaged. I have once again contacted your call centre and spoke to a gentleman call Shane who tried his best to assist me, but he could also only go as far as he could. He consulted with his Team Leader repeatedly as he/she remained in the background.

I need this error to be corrected TODAY please and I need my benefits to be backdated to January 2017 when I first became a member of your scheme. Together with that I need to receive my NEW Medical aid card depicting the MediPlus option. If you listen to the conversation I had in January, you will hear that I actually asked for 3 Membership cards - one for myself and each dependant. I repeat that request as well.

I am once again going to take this up with my HR department and I know that this will be escalated further within the company. Service such as this, when one has just become a member, is absolutely unecceptable - especially after numerous calls and intervention by myself and the HR department. I am REALLY NOT HAPPY and I sincerely hope that my complaint receives urgent attention and this long outstanding issue is now going to be resolved.

Regards

Berilyne Jewell

Good morning Sir / Madam

I refer to my compaint as written above and want to THANK YOU for the prompt and efficient manner in which the matter was addressed.

I received an email to indicate that the Medical Aid option I am on has been changed from MediValue to MediPlus and I SINCERELY appreciate that. My employers have also alerted me to the resultant change in my monthly contribution and I am HAPPY.

I shall await my Members guide booklet and Medical aid cards as requested.

THANK YOU.
