Horrible Medical Aid Regret joining

I am absolutely appalled by this scheme, my 1 yr old LG needs to have a procedure done, grommetts to be inserted. Medshield refused initially to pay for the procedure because I was not with them for more than 1 yr, then they reviewed my case and said that it was declined due to non-disclosure of a pre existing condition, a condition that my child did not have prior to me joining the scheme, how am i supposed to disclose something i cannot foresee??

This is absolutely ridiculous and heartbreaking that you would refuse to pay for this procedure.
