I joined medshield June for July 2020, they sent me medical certificate and medical card stating that 1st July 2020 my benefits with be starting. I called medshield on the 3rd August for authorization to see the doctor to my surprise the consultant that was helping me told me that my benefits will only be starting 1st October 2020 I asked how is that possible cause on the medical certificate and card it's clearly shows that is starting 1st July. And then she said on her side it's October, I contacted the Brooker that I joined through to asked what is happening then they called medshield to find out they were also told that medshield changed they minds from July to October. I was highly disappointed, I had left the medical scheme I was with cause they promised me that theirs will start immediately. I reliased I can stay with medshield which had no problem bridging the contract we had without even informing me about it so I terminated that contract . Since the last week I have been trying to get my money back since I believe they owe me but they have been giving me run around. Long story MEDSHIELD MEDICAL SCHEME is a ********* they have no problem changing they minds irregardless that you have contract with them already worse without informing you. What they did might have as well as being involved in an accident then they tell you they no longer cover accidents. Joined medshield at your own risk period!!!!!!
