Does Medshield know what they are doing???
My wife need to take Serdep every day as prescribe by our GP. I was informed to use Optipharm for our meds as they are the DSP for medshield as this is their choice for we as members dont have a choice anymore. Acute meds that we get from a DSP that is not on Medshileds acute formulary have a 40% co-payment for the member that is stated in their brochure for 2015 for the Mediphila plan. But the claim was done by Optipharm and not a cent was paid at all by Medshield for the Serdep 50mg meds, they keep rejecting it with the code 1761 \medication forms part of consulting fee". So Medshield dont want to pay the meds for R98.59 less the 40% co-payment monthly"
