DO NOT USE MEDSHIELD

I have been with Medshield for the past 6 years. Last Thursday I have major issue with my back right molar which I visited my nearest dentist who tried for 2 hour to extract the tooth. He was unsuccessful. I was referred to a specialist and they advised me that the wisdom teeth had wedged both back molars and they needed to be removed. I spoke to Medshield for pre authorisation and they have said they will pay for the wisdom and not the back teeth as those must be extracted in a dentist room. THEY COULD NOT TAKE THEM OUT IN THE DENTIST CHAIR!!!!! I SAT FOR TWO HOURS WITH THEM TUGGING! If I could do it there I would have in the first place. I spoke to Desire who didn't give a **** what I was saying. I will campaign against you guys especially as I spend almost R5000 a month with you!!! Your customer service is the worst I have ever come across. What an absolute pity as I have always sung your praises. I will be posting on Hellopeter and Social Media everyday outlining your poor benefits.
