the worst Medical Aid scheme ever, Rude consultants that Lack product knowledge, i had to speak to 5 people, all of them have different understanding and answer things differently. the most annoying part was when the Team Leader By the name of Attosa returning my call to confirm that procedure for my Son was not gonna be accepted because i ddnt Disclose the condition prior to taking up the Scheme. And how could You disclose something u are not aware of ???? because i only a pediatrician was able to assume the problem , Hence he sent me to professional as well to get more clarity. Its so annoying and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone . THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

Medshield Medical Scheme has acknowledged your complaint and would like to thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
With reference to the authorisation request for admission date 04/04/2019 for dependant Uyathandwa. It should be noted, upon receipt of this authorisation request, it was pended for a non-disclosure process that needs to be followed. It should be noted, for any member/s that have joined the Scheme within the last 12 months, a non-disclosure process is followed. This is a standard process for all authorisation requests for members that are on the Scheme for less than a year. An investigation into a non-disclosure does not imply that your authorisation will be declined.
As per Scheme records, the member's joined and benefit date with the Scheme is 01/01/2019, hence the non-disclosure process. Please note that , our hospital benefits management sent the necessary forms to doctors for clinical information, however, they have advised that they haven’t received them back hence the authorisation denied. Please note that once all the document received the authorisation will be reviewed.
