centre for diabetes not being paid and the contributions are R10k a month for 2 people

My father went to the diabetic clinic after over one year, last week. My sister had come from over 3 hours away to visit them and they were feeling very uneasy as he had not been checked upon properly since Medshield ended their partnership with the diabetic clinic. My sister decided to take him there last week, as they do all round checks and tests at the diabetic clinic and is an excellent facility for diabetics to keep themselves aware of their health. They were made to pay cash, the diabetic clinic didn't even allow them to put through the medical aid. On top of this huge amount my sister forked out on her credit card no less, they were made to pay their last consultation from last year April. It was a bill for the last time my father visited the diabetic clinic after being told that there is no longer a partnership between themselves and medshield. At that appointment last year they were not asked to pay cash, nor were they sent a bill. Nobody has that amount of cash to just fork out, especially when you pay your medical aid R10000 A MONTH FOR 2 PEOPLE. They have ended their partnership with the centre for diabetes, yet their annual increase is way above norm. Honestly, does it seem rational to any sane person to pay your medical aid R10K per month and then still have to pay doctors wherever you go? Medshield REFUND the amounts paid by us last week - it has been sent to your claims department. DO NOT FIGHT US ON IT, REFUND US IN FULL FOR BOTH STATEMENTS. You reduced your benefit for diabetics on your plan, yet you did not reduce your monthly contribution. You deserve to be reported to CMS for this. 10k a month and have to pay cash at nearly every doctor.....and then a struggle to get payment in full back from you! Shame on you!
