BUNCH OF ******

Medshield are a bunch of ******, i took medical aid with the intentions of not going to government hospital. I had a seizure at work and was taken to the nearest hospital, the hospital was unable to get authorization because it was already late and they had to ensure that I was resuscitated. The hospital called medshield the next day and were told I was not allowed to be taken to that hospital (they advised the hospital i was supposed to be taken to a hospital which is 60km away from my workplace). That is inhumane especially in the condition i was in. After hearing this I booked myself out before I was in stable condition. I have received bills from the medical aid and most costs were not paid, reasons are that i didnt get authorization which was not possible because I was unconscious. I am now indebted to the hospital while the expect monthly fees. This is infair and the worst i was never advised when taking the medical aid which hospitals are covered.
