Authorization for in hospital

My husband has been admitted into hospital yesterday 22/07/2015. Now he needs to go for a CT scan and the medical is telling me that i should pay a 10% co-payment up front. Why should i pay were by he is in-hospital. Shouldn't my hospital benefit cover all procedures done in hospital. I am through with this medical aid. Were the hell should i get R10 000.00 from were by i pay a medical aid every month without fail. I think it is time for me to change my medical aid and take this medical aid to the newspaper so that everyone can know what they are all about. I will never advise anyone to join this medical aid. They must just pay what they need to pay and i am definitely cancelling this medical aid before this year end. I can rather go to discovery that is costly and that provide service. Medshield is actually telling me that you can die if you don't have the co payment.
