Authorisation nightmare

I am scheduled to undergo a procedure on the 30th sep 2021 and when authorisation was requested i was told my case is still under NDA and that i should send proof of medical aid and GP details. What frustrates me is the authorisation was requested yesterday 28 sep and medshield didnt communicate with me or alert me that authorisation is not yet granted. I had to call and check why it was not granted. I need to have this procedure as soon as possible as i am struggling to breath and eat. I am now told it might take up to 5 working days in order to get authorisation. I need to have this procedure now during school holidays as i am a single parent and dont have anyone who can take my child to school if schools reopen. Medshield may you kindly assist
