Antenatal classes claim rejected

I would not recommend Medshield medical aid to anyone, it's all false advertising. With constant rejected claims, unending co-payments even when you use their hospital network, it's just a daunting experience. I can't wait to change this medical aid. It's first time I use my maternity benefits and it hasn't been a good experience. Their brochure claims that they pay for 8 antenatal classes, I attended antenatal classes with a registered medical nurse with experience in child birth and a registered professional company that's been given antenatal classes for years. There is not special rule in their brochure stating that they only pay for antenatal classes if they are provided by a "midwife". My other friends didn't experience this with their medical aids even though we attended the same classes. Their claims were paid with no question asked.

I'm siting with an invoice that I have to pay from my own pocket because Medshield is refusing pay. I don't know who came with that stupid scheme rule. Antenatal classes can provided by anyone who is registered in the medical field and has experience with child birth. Even Doulas give classes. 😒😡
