Absolutely ridiculous Customer service recieved
<p>i have been a member of the medical for over nine years being a beneficiary and my husband the main member, had a three month gap and rejoined again 01 May 2016 as the main member. Unfortunately i was hospitilised with kidney stones and the procedure was done at hospital(Chritiaan Barnard). A week after this i received numerous calls and statements advising that the auth was denied. After receiving a call from an cond\sultant at Medshield i was advised that the auth was denied as they require a health report from my GP for a full year.She was meant to send this form in order for it to be completed.</p> <p> </p> <p>This i find ridiculous as the operation was not a pre condition that i had.</p> <p>To date the form has not been received, i have sent numerous emails, numerous calls made which has costed me lots of unecessary money just because someone cannot do their job properley.</p> <p> </p> <p>The matter is just been left, no attempt from medshield to have the matter .resolved, no follow-up what so ever.</p> <p> </p> <p>I need URGENT ASSISTANCE TO HAVE THIS MATTER RESOLVED</p> <p>Membership number ********** 4134</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

Kindly note, we have tried on numerous occasions in getting the relevant forms to the doctors rooms to be completed and sent back to us in order to complete the NON declaration process which is pending on the your authorisation request.
It should be noted, to date we cannot get hold of the doctors rooms on their telephone number or email address. The forms were emailed to yourself, please ensure that these are completed by the doctor and returned to the scheme. Also a message was left on your cell phone yesterday afternoon advising of the above.
It has been confirmed by yourself telephonically that the doctors rooms are closed for the rest of this week, however you will ensure that the doctors respond to our hospital department. It should be noted, only once these completed forms has been received will the authorisation be reviewed.

Its because of the incompetant staff hired at Medshield that this has happened. The forms where being emailed to the INCORRECT email all the time.No one had the brains to think to call the client when they didnt recieve anything back from the doctor. i had to do notify Medshield the email address was wrong after i read the tril of emails.
The doctor isbak at work on Saterday and will then get the forms completed.
