SasolMed made me a fool

Good Day...

I have been receiving the same letter for months from SasolMed but couldn't really figure it out, I decided to send it back for clarity. It happened that the scheme owed me money and they asked for my proof of banking details for a refund. I immediately sent the proof of my recent Capitec bank and I got back the response that the proof of banking details were received and the payment will be processed the following week - this was on the 22nd July 2022.

Somewhere around 19th August, I called back and the Operator I talked to told me that the money was processed and she doesn't know how long it takes for it to be cleared.

Then on the 9th September 2022, I sent them an email, asking them how long does it take for the funds to be cleared as we were headed to the second month. A reply came by, telling me that the money was paid on the 2nd August 2022. Shocked as I was, I advised them that I did not receive any money and even sent them my bank statement reflecting the 2nd August 2022 to back up my story. On the very same day I received an email that reads "Kindly be advised that the payment was made into a Nedbank Account ending in 9091. Please confirm if this account is still open as no monies have been returned to the Scheme."

Now, the Nedbank account is fami****, I closed it years back, and that's what I told them. They then told me I should go to the branch and inquire further *shakes my head* I mean whose fault was it for the money to be deposited in the Nedbank account when I literally sent my banking details at first? Or is someone not doing their job? But like an idiot I am, I immediately stood up and I went to the bank... they confirmed no money was attempted to be deposited in that account and even if it was, it could have bounced back in not more than 3 days after it was sent. And the scheme should check their accounts. I then sent an email, explaining all that. I felt like a middleman between a scheme and a bank, a middleman of the mistake I didn't make.

To cut the long story short, I'm being made a fool now, being told that they will get back to me in 7 days and I'd wait for 10 days without anything from them. When I asked what's the way forward, they told me that and I quote "Feedback was received from Nedbank stating that they have a technical issue on their end." This was now on the 27th September 2022 and I haven't heard anything from them till to date, not even an apology for sending funds to Nedbank instead of the account they were given.

Can you help in this regard?
