Poor Claims Process (OMSMAF - Medscheme)

I visited the doctor on 28 December 2016, and paid cash for the consultation and medication. On my return to work on 06 January, I submitted my claim. I received a confirmation that my claim was received (060117Q2VX07) so all good there. On 10 January I receive an email notification for additional information requesting a detailed copy of the claim for the consultation. I promptly submitted the documentation on 11 January, and then silence for more than a month.

I decided to do an email follow-up on 13 February, and after making a call to the contact centre was told that my claim to the amount of R525 would be processed on 22 February. This amount however only related to the consultation, which I then queried. After speaking to 5 contact centre agents to raise the issue of the medical prescription, I was told that in order for that claim to be processed they require a statement from the Pharmacy?

I am left dumb struck... both claims was submitted on the same day, attached to the same email? I find the claims process hugely frustrating, and to top it all, was promised a call from a call centre manager yesterday (***). You guest it, I'm still waiting on the call.

OMSMAF, get your act together!
