Please fix this medscheme

My dad is very ill. He is bedridden. Being the concerned son, I decided to call barloworld for Nursing Services. I was then told to call hospital benefits section that is coordinated by medscheme on behalf of barloworld. The hoops that one has to jump is insane to say the least. Firstly letters from all doctors and specialists that says the patient needs nursing services. That is not good enough. Had to run back to the doctors for ICD codes. Then they wanted a nursing assessment of the home situation of the patient. That report was sent. Thats not the end of the journey. The doctor had concerns that the patient was wanting a free caregiver. Then had to reassure medical aid the patient has a fulltime caregiver that cooks for him. A **** comes to clean. What was needed was him to be taken in his wheelchair outside for vitamin D. Massaging his legs and hands so that there is proper blood flow since his muscles were hardening sleeping day and night. He needed assistance in eating since he was eating at an angle in the bed. In short therapy. After over twenty calls to medscheme Nursing Services was approved. It was approved for one month. That is not the end of this nightmare. Nursing Services has a limit of R41850. That is what I had app**** for. The folks at Cape Town has annotated it as day to day treatment. What are they thinking? All that hard work and they want to annotate it as day to day. It is totally wrong and I will vigorously fight for justice and approach medical ombudsman if I have to as I app**** for NURSING SERVICES under the R41850 allocation. The phone calls I made all are made for nursing services not DAY TO DAY limits. Medscheme please fix it. It has been a nightmare dealing with medscheme hospital authorisation. There is no one person that works with a patient. Hence no accountability and each time a new person answers had a different story. I really don't want to go to ombudsman now as I had enough of this nightmare.
