Nedgroup Medical aid through Mescheme is really bad service

I sent through a change of membership on the 26 October 2018, after calling the call center and speaking to a consultant who assured me that as long as there is no break in membership my dependent would not be imposed a 3 month waiting period, reference for this call (261018QM25X), please listen to the recording so you will understand my frustration. After getting this confirmation i then sent through the documentation, which was birth certificate, certificate of member ship from discovery medical aid clearly indicating that the member was covered from 4 May 2013 (day she was born) till the 31 October 2018, i asked for her cover to start on the 1 November 2018 with Nedgroup medical aid.

Today i get an SMS saying she will be covered from the 1 Feb 2019, which means you have put a waiting period for WHAT??? I call the center and speak to a lady by the name of Tsholo Mataboge (ref 261018Q2M8GM) who says that the waiting is imposed there was break in membership, i tell her no i sent the certificate she says she can see it yes there must be a mistake in their other department, how *********** is that. You ask for documents i sent it and you still do this wrong, so now what do i do as i can't afford for my 5 year old child not to be covered by medical aid for 3 months.

What is the reason for the waiting period as only medscheme would impose a penalty for a dependent that has never had any break in cover???

Not i get told i need to wait 3 working days for this to be sorted.

Either the first lady i spoke to **** to me regarding this waiting period because i asked her about 2 times during the call and she assured as long as there is no break in membership it will no be imposed. So either she **** and in that case i would like to have her escalated because of her advise i completed the documents and decided to place my child on my medical aid.

Service and advice at your call center is really bad.

I again called the call center only to encounter a rude call center representative (reference 311018Q2VN85). I asked a simple question WHAT IS A GENERAL WAITING period? I get told it means the person is not covered for medical aid for 3 months, i say fine does this mean i need to put my child on another medical aid for 3 months the answer and please listen to recording to show the lack of experience and knowledge of your staff, because she answered yes that is you choice? Then this lady then says if there is an accident or emergency then the child will be covered so now first you tell me there is no coverage then you tell me your don't know then you tell me under certain circumstance you are covered. What kind of people do you have working in your call center when they don't even know the rules of the medical aid. Please can you read Page 2 of you application for change of Membership. Waiting Periods will apply as follows, it lists the waiting period? Which i understood. You then have another heading Previous Medical Aid Membership!!! You have a question in there If "YES" , a certificate of membership certificate........(read the doc) The next line says " Failing the above , waiting periods , unexpired waiting periods and late joiner penalties may be imposed" To me this means that if i do not produce the membership certificate with end to end coverage you will impose a waiting period? So my question is why have you imposed a waiting period and if you have why have you no send me a detail document of what does a waiting period mean in black and white why is this so difficult to get??? Medical aids should be open and clear with their members why are you not. This is so frustrating you send me the amount i am paying but you can't send me details of what you and imposing on me. And you call center staff are so rude and disrespectful and have no idea what they saying.
