MEDSCHEME ONLY KEEP MEDICAL RECORDS FOR 5 YEARS! BEWARE THAT THIS WILL IMPACT ANY CHANGE TO MEDICAL AIDS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE AND SHOULD BE *******
As a family, we are struggling to shift medical aids as Medscheme only keep records for 5 years, yet all medical aids require full life history! Have lodged a query with the ombuds - this too is not forthcoming in terms of response and is urgent in getting a continuation of medical without parents being 'loaded' as if they were not covered when this is NOT the case! I have contacted the Ombuds and am awaiting a response.
