Medscheme is a hell you will burn in over and over

My sister has been dead for 7 years and let me tell you this is macabre to write but I need to put it out there that an organisation known for ADMINISTRATION does not have its house in order. In fact it is crumbling. My experience is most likely a microcosm of this clown organisation. In fact it is insulting to clowns to even call them that. Now mistakes are mistakes, we all make them. But tell me how do you one years in a row? it started with receiving claim updates years after her death of chemo she received, The triggers alone since we learnt that her cancer , according to 96% of oncologists worldwide always recommend palliative care. But I digress, we accepted this and got used to the grief of her loss. Did it stop there? LOL NOPE, same email in 2023 and this year we get a claim update with a surname she never had. I blocked their email addresses and it still filtered though. I kept having to deal with Faranaaz who sent apologies but dololo update, cos DING **** updates were never done, and they like to use the excuse of system updates. Please stop with that. So I called up an old stakeholder I worked with years ago (he was a pharma rep and is a regional now for a pharma company) and asked him to give me the email address of a random person in a random department of Medscheme. I was given a health professions strategist, who I emailed and then things started moving. But its going nowhere. They got a junior (this is literally a customer service tactic, as I did these kinds of calls in the medical industry) to REASSURE ME, then EMPATHISE, LOL, THEN GIVE A SOLUTION. This has been done for 5 years plus. So Medscheme hear me out, or rather not. It is a displeasure to have had any dealings with you. I hope medical aids catch up soon enough and run as far away from medscheme as possible. Your customer care is actually measured by the customers you make your money from. The so-called working class folk in the schemes like samwumed etc. But things are cyclical. I look forward to never having to deal with your organisation ever again. PS. take heed that we know people in your industries and will have you called out till kingdom. SIES is the operative word for this ces****l.

your reply is automated so no thank you, your organisation is an underworld den. You do not have a team you have automated bots. You prey on people never raising concerns. There is nothing to resolve because it hasn't been in 5 years. I will release all the emails on social media and then go from there :) bless your heart.

I have received letters on official letterheads, it has been 7 years, I shall await this circus again next year, your organisation is in the gutter if the basics cant be done and still blaming system updates. You just dont care enough to actually do the work, so see you here again in 2025.

then sending me this??? its been 5 years: so now the databases are updated? and what is this about 120 days LOL, THE GASLIGHTING ALONE; literally not addressing that there was a different surname used, the fund is a farce and a ****. this is the most disgraceful thing to even send someone. GASLIGHT SOMEONE ELSE

THIS IS MY FAVE LINE We deeply regret the unintended pain and inconvenience caused and appreciate your
patience as we investigated and provided feedback. "

they use this over and over, since 2018 where various people from medscheme have reassured us that their system is updated. There organisation is in shambles. The IT infrastructure or whatever they want to blame it on is in the gutter. Mark my words 2025 there will be an email. Its taken this long to get this rabid reply hiding behind customer service pyramid words we all got trained on. Look how they dont address how they sent correspondence with a surname my sister never had. They will call it a system mess again, but it is so suspicious, If your medical aid is being administered by medscheme, run far away. go through all the claims. Do not trust a thing.

Per email:
Dear Ms Ling
On behalf of SAMWUMED and Medscheme, I would like to take this opportunity to offer
you our sincere apologies for the frustration caused by the receipt of the recent email
communications that were addressed to your late sister. The well-being of our members
and their families is our top priority, and we deeply regret any distress we may have
caused.
We have noted and investigated your concerns about the submission of potentially
*****ulent claims and are pleased to advise that this has not taken place.
SAMWUMED has set up ***** prevention measures, including notifying members, via
email and/or SMS, when a claim is submitted to Medscheme, our Managed Care Partner.
This helps members track claims and report any suspicious activity via our ***** hotline.
The Medical Schemes Act No. 131 of 1998 gives providers 120 days from the date of
service to submit claims. Therefore, even after your mother's passing in June 2024,
providers were allowed to submit claims in August and September 2024, which were
processed according to the Scheme's Rules. The processing of these claims triggered the
automated communications that you received from Medscheme. We apologize for any
distress caused by our ***** prevention efforts.
Following your instructions, SAMWUMED has deleted the email addresses from your late
mother and sister’s memberships to prevent future communications about claims
against their membership.
We deeply regret the unintended pain and inconvenience caused and appreciate your
patience as we investigated and provided feedback.
Yours sincerely

Philippa Escreet
SAMWUMED Chief Operations Officer
