LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION!!!

My mother (67 years of age) has Leukemia and is on Tasigna which she MUST take at a specific time in the morning as well as the evening. The doctor specifically told her NOT to skip her pills. This is probably the 3rd time in the last 5 months where MEDSCHEME once AGAIN failed to give her pills. She has been without her pills for more than a week now and every time she phones Medscheme, she gets a different story about why the pharmacy couldn't put the pills through the system. The latest story being they (Medscheme) has a IT problem!! How can Medscheme allow that a human being's life is in the balance due YET AGAIN AN IT PROBLEM!! And every single month when they have to release her pills, there is an IT problem? When I ask for a manager, they just tell me we can't put me through to a team leader, but the will get back to me. The Professor who is treating my mother says this is ********!! Even his secretary is trying to help, but we are getting absolutely NO FEEDBAC**** I am BEGGING someone from MEDSCHEME to phone me with an answer or I WILL take this matter to the highest authorities and I won't stop until I get an answer. She has an authorisation number ********** 2 but not even this is helping. Her medical aid nr is ********** 9691 This happens ALL THE TIME, so my patience is non existent at the moment. If something happens to my mother I will take this matter further.

Another thing I need to mention. These pills are so expensive (in the range of R20 000+) so it is not as if we can buy the pills out of our own pocket. As one of the Medscheme consultants said we must do.

Replying almost a week later on a life or death situation, makes it even more clear what your company stands for!! Just another medical aid with no concern towards their customers wellbeing. After speaking on a daily basis to Medscheme, talking to probably 20 agents (most likely more than 20) repeating our situation every day, a few times per day for 2 weeks, the problem was resolved this morning. Now, after it is resolved, we receive a mediocre reply from Medscheme. Still no phone call from ANYBODY. If this was the first time this happened, then I could look past this, but it happens almost every single month and in the meantime my mother is skipping her medication which she is not allowed to miss. Ridiculous!!
