This is a letter I wrote to Medland's Hospital medical director, Dr Colin West after having to undergo an emergency appendicitis procedure. The service was world-class.

Dear Dr West On behalf of my family and myself, I would personally like to thank you and your staff for the excellent and professional medical service I received during my recent emergency appendicitis procedure. From my surgeon, Dr Amad and his team, Matthews and David along with the anesthetists, Dr Abbas. I was especially impressed with the concern that Dr Amad had for my well-being. My recuperation was an absolute pleasure due to the fact that your highly-trained and professional nursing staff were so good to me. Demonstrating at all times a high degree of empathy, dignity and respect for me as the patient. I would in particular like to make special mention of three nurses, Fatou, Elizabeth and Emily whose positive and friendly attitude really added to a very enjoyable stay in your hospital. It would also be remiss of me if I did not mention Lisa in your admin department who was extremely helpful and concerned. Of course, there were many members of your staff who assisted in making my recuperation such a pleasant one and I am indeed grateful to them all. I would never hesitate in recommending your hospital to anyone as the staff and facilities certainly rank amongst the best in the world when it comes to private medical care.
