Distasteful attitude!

I visited the branch in the Medi -Health Checkers centre earlier this morning to buy probiotics, which I've been buying for over a year now from this establishment. It has always been a pleasant experience going there and striking up a conversation with the mature lady who usually works there, until today....The shop was quiet with one to two people inside and as usual, I headed for the refrigirator where the brand I buy on rotational basis is stored. Upon my arrival, the cashier, whom I haven't seen before, Larissa, as stated on my receipt, was tending a lady customer while a gentleman, whom she was chatting to, was standing at the side of the desk, all while serving the customer. As I was ready to pay, I enquired from the gentleman if he is maybe in the queue or something, to which he said no, I may proceed to pay. As I'm putting the small jar on the counter and taking out my card to pay, Larissa continue talking to this gentleman, which in my opinion, was downright rude and made me feel ignored, being a paying and regular customer at that! Before I handed my card to Larissa, I told her that her attitude and conduct does not sit well with me, since it is common courtesy, if not basic customer etiquette that you pay attention to the customer you're serving. The attitude in which she rep**** and the contempt in her body language completely left a bitter taste in my mouth! Her reply, while she's inserted my card: "oh, this is a good friend I haven't seen in a long time, sorry". Personally, I'd rather not want to return to this branch if this type of behavior is at the end of the day, in spite of never having any complaints prior to this unsavory episode, simply because it came across of her justifying her sheer lack of respect and professionalism and in return, downplaying my dissatisfaction! And to add insult to injury, this "friend" of her, did not even buy anything....In my opinion, I'm not sure that this is how any business would like to come across to the public if this type of behavior would be condoned.
