Patient not transported to Hospital due to ID.

Monday 06-July-2015, my 3 week old baby fell ill . 112 Ambulance emergency services was called at 19:07PM to take my son to hospital as he was not breathing properly and vomiting after feeding. <br> <br> The ambulance services called at 21:37PM to confirm the address of the emergency. At 22:00PM the ambulance confirmed it was outside. His mother then rushed my son to the ambulance. The paramedic then asked which hospital should he be admitted. St. Augustine Hospital was recommended by my his mother. Paramedic requested for medical aid card. Card was produced and his mother was asked who the medical aid card belonged to. Ambulance was informed that I, the father, was the main member. Paramedic therefore requested for my ID document as proof and they were informed that they do not have my ID. Paramedic then said she is unsure whether the hospital would admit my son without my ID document. Radio dispatch was contacted via the ambulance radio, dispatch then confirmed that my son wouldn't be admitted at the hospital without my ID copy. City Hospital and Parklands Hospital was also suggested but paramedics said they wouldn't admit him. My son was not taken to hospital. <br> <br> I need answers.
