Unhappy about the Services

On Friday, the 04th October I called to make an appoitment with my Dr who attends to me and was told he is not available, I was forced to see another Dr because of such. When I turn up at the practice, I see my Dr walking around the practice. I consult with Dr Bouwer who I brought to his attention that I feel im getting sick way too often and need to understand why. He writes a script, sends me to the nurse who takes bloods and administers a shot. On the following Tuesday 08th October he calls to explain to me what the results were from the bloods. One of the blood tests he was not sure what it means and then I asked him if I should come through for a follow up as he seemed very unsure of how to explain this to me over the phone. Neo who was at reception was made aware of this follow up and I advised him that I was not going to sign the consent form. I go to see the Dr and he was still not making sense in how to read the bloods, he sat me down checked my throat for inflammation and also my heart rate, wrote another script for medication and let me go. I go to the pay-point and Maki the lady advised it was just a R28 levy which I needed to pay. The very next day a full consultation claim was billed to Discovery without my consent. I returned yesterday to talk to Maki and do the R28 payment and was told she had just left. To me this is ********* business practice as you cannot tell a patient one thing and go and do the total opposite. I feel this matter needs to be rectified as soon as possible. I would like to be reimbursed for this visit. I have been leaving messages for Dr Badat to contact me as he was the initial Dr who was treating me. Jerome, the practice manager took my message and passed it along to the receptionist who in then calls me to confirm what my reason is for Dr Badat to contact me. I am no longer confident in consulting with Dr Bouwer as up until today I have no idea why I am still sick and what the results were from the blood tests. Dr Bouwer ran numerous tests I knew nothing about and this was not clearly communicated with nor was my consent taken to further investigate. Discovery is not even aware of how medical practices conduct business and this should be investigated because many patients get billed for such things without their knowledge.
